Master of Flavours/owner
With Rob’s European heritage and over 30 years’ experience butchering, he has found his true passion within the industry and takes great pride producing continental smallgoods. Rob knows every ingredient of every product and with his refined skills, innovative techniques and in store smoke-oven, you can be sure there is always “something new” about to be introduced. The challenge is getting him to step back and relax.
Rob was recognised as the National Winner for the MLA Meat Innovations in 2000/2001
Rose and Rob set up their first business in 1984, so this partnership has certainly faced a lot together. Rose knows the numbers and with an accounting background she has managed all the behind the scenes paperwork over the years. Now she is also coordinating the retail front of Casalinga ensuring everything runs as systematically as possible, especially during the peak times of Christmas.
The most recent addition to the Casalinga team commenced his butchering apprenticeship in 2014. Having come from the farming rich lands of Flinders Island, Joe understands the importance of ensuring quality from paddock to plate, to get the most out of our premium Tasmanian produce.
If you haven’t met or heard about the rest of the Perry family then you soon will. Being a self-employed small business, the wider family has played a big part in the Casalinga story. With each of the four children having worked in the store at some stage, they all remain strong supporters and will often been seen in the store having a chat with the customers also.
